These rubber pieces are some of the most asked about autoclave parts that I see every day. You will know you need a new one if your gasket is cracked, bent, or chipped in places. Your Tuttnauer machine’s service manual might also suggest an age limit for them.
If you’re looking for a more detailed description of the EZ9 and EZ10 steam sterilizers, I have a full article here.
I have seen some of the best prices on Amazon. They are listed below with links to each one. Some of these gaskets are used by multiple Tuttnauer autoclave models, so those are listed, too.

They are going to break down over time and need to be replaced. The moisture and different pressures damage the rubber over time. Replacing these seals will keep the integrity of the sterile chamber and help maintain the correct pressure for the sterilization process. Not to mention they block water leaks. In other words, don’t procrastinate on buying a new one!
You would think there would be a better material that could be used for this sterilizer part by now. Maybe they are just trying to sell more door gaskets! I don’t know. That’s my conspiracy theory.
Thanks for reading. Happy sterilizing!
